My wife has been making jelly and canning for years. Well worth it and she loves them. Much easier and I think safer. What a difference. She had always gotten the jars out of the hot water with regular kitchen utensils until I got her this set.
I also got the Ball Book for canning everything and I am confident I can now attempt canning anything with this kit and the book. This set was a big help because it offered all the tools I needed to can up about 30 some jars of various products. It came with helpful tips and all the gadgets needed to make the first time canning succesful. I made my first batch of jams, jellies and sauces this year.
Everything came in handy on my first try at canning - very nice kit with everything you need to get started
That was very handy during the canning process. I used all the tools when canning and it made it much easier for me to can properly. I especially liked the magnet to assist with getting lids out of boiling water. This was a very good purchase.
