I highly endorse this great little wonder. I wanted something that was light weight and easy to manuver around the house and this fits the bill. I use it more than I use my heavy duty vaccuum and for the price you cannot beat it. I bought the Bissell 3106A Featherweight Lightweight over a year ago and it is wonderful.
The canister is easy to empty, but like other vacuums with cloth-type filters, occasional brushing is required to loosen fibers that get stuck in the filter. The suction of this quick vac is surprisingly strong for its size, and the unit is light and easily maneuverable. I'm very pleased. HOWEVER, if you are looking for an effective, lightweight, inexpensive broom-vac for use on hard surfaces, this is a great choice. This is a corded unit, which is a bit of a hassle, but one I'm happy to accept.
In short, this unit does not replace a Dyson, but it DOES replace a broom and dust pan. I've owned and regularly used this Bissell for over two years. If you are looking for a full power vacuum cleaner for use on carpet, or a shop-vac that will pick up big items like dry dog food, you will be disappointed. I also own a cordless unit, and hate that after about 5 minutes of use, the battery drains out, it starts to lose power, and goes dead after about 10 minutes of use. With this one, yes, you do have to drag the cord around, but what you get in return is 100% full power all of the time.
Considering the low $20 cost, I can say that I've rarely been as satisfied with a product.
So if your looking to constantly vacuum carpet I'd choose a different model. It loses a star because it cannot handle fuzz on carpet. It does great however on hard floors. This is a nice little vacuum.
You'll be never disappointed. If you're finding vacuum for foor, Just get it.
