This is the best iron I ever owned. It's GREAT. Great steam, on leaks, and it tells you when it needs to be cleaned.I hope they never stopping making this one. All you have to do is look at the tag in your clothing, set the iron, wait for the beep, and iron. If you thinking about buying this iron get it.
All I can say is, "WOW." It worked so well that I could not find enough clothes to iron and I actually did not dread ironing anymore. You won't be disappointed. I would come back a few hours later and they are all wrinkled looking again. My old iron was useless. I hated ironing.
There are newer (and more expensive) models by B&D and other manufacturers out there, but I'd go with this one. I finally bit the bullet and looked for a new iron. The D2030 had a TON of positive reviews on Amazon and other sites so I figured for the money, it was worth giving a whirl. I would iron clothes, they would look ironed and I'd hang them up.
Just one thing the dail for the steam is right at your finger tips and easily gets turned off so you have to be aware of the setting. Excellent Iron, great steam and not too heavy.
I like the digital aspects of it, lets you know when it's ready, I really love the temp setting of different materials, and the steam burst great. Product is terrific.
2. It turns off by it self if you don't move it for few minutes.( I think it is a necessary feature no matter how alert you are). What make this one special is that. I am very satisfied with this except one little thing. And it is very easy to set it up.
Amazon drop the price from $49.99 to $40 few days after I bought it. I think most iron are pretty much the same. It tell you when the temperature is "ready" for the fabric you choose. (but may get some calcification in the long run compare to non-stick surface. 3. Stainless surface make it very efficient.
