Furi Rachael Ray Froggy Double-Bladed Mezzaluna with Wooden Cutting Board and Non-Slip Mat

The F??ri Rachael Ray Froggy Mezzaluna Knife and Cutting Board will make everyday chopping tasks not only quick and easy, but fun as well! The rubberized bright green handle with antimicrobial protection can be used with one hand or two, and features Rachael's exclusive ???Gusto Grip.??? The reversible wooden chopping board is designed with a curved bowl for easy chopping- flip it over and use the flat surface for additional chopping with a knife. Plus, a non-slip mat prevents the board from sliding on counter surfaces. In fewer than five years, Rachael Ray has radically changed the way America cooks dinner. Her perky-girl-next-door swagger, her catchphrases for techniques, and her dinner ideology of simpler, less expensive and just in time have sold billions of books and placed her at the top of the talent heap of food television personalities

The Froggy mezzaluna from Füri Rachael Ray brings a sense of fun to even the most mundane chopping and mincing tasks. Originally from Italy and meaning "half moon," a mezzaluna features one or two parallel curved blades, very sharp, that rock back and forth to chop, mince, and dice everything from parsley, basil, and garlic to walnuts and chocolate. The double-bladed Froggy mezzaluna is topped by a bright green handle amusingly shaped with frog eyes, and made from polypropylene and rubber with antimicrobial protection. The same comfortable handle is found on Rachael Ray's Gusto-Grip knives. Even kids will want to try using this kitchen tool, but parental supervision is advised.

Also included in the three-piece set are a wooden cutting board and a non-slip mat that keeps the board steady on a countertop. Measuring 13-1/2 by 1 by 7-3/4 inches, the reversible board features a bowl-shaped well on one side to accommodate the mezzaluna blades during chopping, and is flat on the other side. Wash the board and mat by hand after use; the mezzaluna is dishwasher-safe. --Ann Bieri

Furi Rachael Ray Froggy Double-Bladed Mezzaluna with Wooden Cutting Board and Non-Slip Mat Reviews

It would be nice if this came with something to store the blades in. By storing it in a drawer, with no covers, the blades are sure to get dull quickly. The blades are super sharp, so beware. I saw this and just had to have it. After using the Froggy, I found I prefer cutting herbs and ect with a good chef knife.

The plastic covers that it came with are easily cut through, and don't last. It is easier to control where the blade is going. I'm thinking of getting a traditional Mezzaluna with only one blade instead. I love the color and the cutting board is of good quality.

So easy to handle and it does a great job in a short time. I love this little tool for chopping herbs.

Overpriced and overrated. On the other hand, my husband loves it. I'm giving this item a 3 rating because I think it's just okay.

I thought I wanted it because I love all of my other rachael stuff. I was hoping this would help with letting my daughter chop for me since she wants to help and I don't want to let her use a normal knife. on it.

My loverboy bought this for me for Christmas. Which you then have to stop and pull them out. I would either stick to choping with a knife or using a food processor (which I didn't have until now). I think this might be more dangerous.

Also, the chop board is so small I Really couldn't chop comf. I have found that the blades are so far a part that the onions that I chop get stuck between the VERY SHARP BLADES.

I purchased this mezzaluna for my husband. My husband and I have both cut ourselves handling it. What makes it good also makes it dangerous. It's incredibly sharp blades have no permanent cover. It works incredibly well, we love it for cutting up fresh herbs.
