I found them to be neither. I bought this set a short while ago, having to use long square-edged wooden ones (or short round ones from our favorite Chinese restaurant *coughGreenleavescough* ) I have had NO problems with using these. The food or the hands. (I use them on everything except soup, and fried eggs for obvious reasons). I give these washable chopsticks five stars. I use chopsticks very well for someone who doesn't need to. Others say they're "slippery" to use.slippery on what.
I would recommend these to everyone. Not like the plain wooden chop sticks. These chop sticks are very pretty and durable.
It turns out, they're only plastic sticks with decorated paper wrapped around them. It's also hard to eat with them because they're so slippery and thin at the ends. Even though the company stated they were brand new, they arrived scratched and looked poorly made.
My husband uses them all the time and is happy with them. These chopsticks are colorful.
