(I originally saw this at a store next to "El Paso Chile Company's" frozen drink maker and they don't even compare. * 2 tablespoons of sugar. we just ran out of ice. FINALLY. However, I highly recommend wiping the bottom of the chrome ice chute since drink mix can splash up and make it sticky. The restaurants have the good ones, almost like a slushie, with no chunks of ice in it.

Here is the recipe we used that had everyone raving at our party:. (Up to shave and down to blend) If blending manually, I recommend blending at least 20 seconds. My wife and eat Tex-Mex 2-3 times per week and LOVE margaritas. To blend your drink, you can use the automatic mode or you can use the manual switch for individualized consistency. * Add shaved ice and blend. It makes it much more smooth. We tried the recipe in the manual, but it was only fair.

You won't be disappointed. It works like no other, drinks come out perfectly smooth and icee. It is like having a tropical bar in your own kitchen. I absolutely love this machine.
We bought the Margaritaville Concotion Maker because we love all sorts of frozen drinks and smoothies. Therefore, if you have a well-working blender, the margaritaville might be redundant. Knowing the maching a bit, we are able to produce nice drinks, but we expected finer ice crystals and a smoother texture than our blender can produce anyway. It frequently happens that, if you use the automatic shaving and blending option, you get watery, tasteless margaritas. The results are altogether satisfying though not always.
Makes great drinks. She even takes it with her to parties. I gave this to my mother as a birthday present and she loves it.
