MIU Connoisseur Corkscrew

The next best thing to an in-house sommelier, this professional-quality wine opener offers the same impressive performance and stylish design as corkscrews that cost far more. Made from durable, nickel-plated, zinc alloy with easy-grip, ergonomic handles, it uses metal gears to extract corks in seconds. The entire process requires minimal effort, and best of all, there are never bits of mangled cork floating around in the bottle afterwards. This MIU France wine opener comes with an extra corkscrew, an attractive presentation stand, and a foil cutter to prepare bottles for opening. This product is dishwasher-safe, and has a lifetime warranty.

MIU Connoisseur Corkscrew Reviews

This was a wonderful tool for about a year, and I was thrilled that it was so much cheaper than the name brands, but then some part of the internal mechanism broke so now I've just got a neat foil cutter.

buy the better one because these are a waste of time and money these openers are no good, they break after only using them about a dozen times or so.

One star down because is a bit bulky. Opening a bottle with this is far better than that; no messing around with glass shards all around, holes in the walls behind, or innocent bystanders being hit by any shrapnel. Even as I write this I'm debating that star because short of SHOOTING the cork and the top of the bottle off, this is the quickest and easiest way to get the cork out of a bottle.

I am going to go back to the old cheap corkscrew I use on camping trips. My parents have a corkscrew that has the same design but obviously by a better manufacturer. however the seller said it was like new. From what I can tell it is just seriously cheap design. I had to seriously struggle to get the screw into AND out of the cork. I'm very disappointed in this purchase. I'm 27 and very active but it was a workout trying to use this thing.

Granted it was used. I shouldn't have had to struggle nearly as much as I did. I tried another cork right after, and it was just as hard. Tonight I decided to try to open a bottle of wine with it for the first time and it was AWFUL.
