Norpro Pasta Drying Rack
Ideal for drying fresh pasta. 8 spindles. Wood
Even the longest fresh fettuccine or linguine won't touch the counter when draped on the arms of this sturdy pasta drying rack. The rack stands 16-1/2 inches high, including a heavy, stable, 7/8-inch-thick base. Assembly (and disassembly for storage) is simple. The 3/4-inch center post screws into the base. Four 18-inch dowels then slide through holes in the post, providing eight arms--cunningly angled so they don't interfere with one another--on which to hang fresh pasta to dry before going into the pot, refrigerator, or freezer. As is traditional, the rack is made of unfinished wood so pasta strands don't slide off. --Fred Brack

Norpro Pasta Drying Rack Reviews
Then I purchased a second rack and I have plenty of room for all of it. That way if it wasn't quite dry enough, it wouldn't stick together and it would dry just a bit more before cutting. This is the second Norpro drying rack that I have purchased. Then I would change to the cutter and cut all of the rolled pasta.
This rack is easy to use and easy to store. With only one rack, it meant that I could only put 4 wide strips of pasta on and I was looking for other places to put the rest. When I would make a batch of pasta, I would always roll the dough out first and stretch it across two dowels while I rolled out the rest.
I'm glad I bought it and the price can't be beat. This pasta rack can hold more than two pounds of linguini or fettuccini, it doesn't take up much room on the counter workspace and is easy to assemble, take apart and store. I love to make homemade pasta by the pounds but have never figured out a good way to dry it for storage.
To store the rack, remove the dowels and lay them all together. ha ha :) - that works okay but it's really great to finally have a rack and for the price you really can't go wrong. This pasta drying rack is simple and very functional. I think if I were entertaining and doubling my recipe I could probably squeeze it all on without much trouble. I store it all in my baking cabinet under my island countertop. If you are like me, maybe you have been hanging your noodles/pasta anywhere you can find a place. You will need storage space enough for the base, about 8 inches, and for the dowels, about 18 inches. I find its holding capacity equals the yield of an average batch of pasta, enough for about 4-6 servings.
I receieved this as a gift back in June. Also, it doesn't take much counter space which is always a plus. This one disassembles and stores easily. It is so much better than my old drying rack. I've used it many times since then and love it.
The NorPro Pasta Rack makes life So much simpler, and takes up allot less space. If you make your own Pasta, You need the drying Rack. it's just a Simple Well thought out tool that dosen't require a Second Mortgage on the Home. Make your Pasta and Hang it until you are ready to cut it, Than you can hang your cut sheets to Dry if needed. if you are handy, It still wouldn't pay to build your own due to the price of this one. I started out just making the pasta Sheets and laying it out on the counter until I was ready to cut my Pasta, Trust me, This method takes up ALLOT of Space.
