I got this colander and love it. GREAT value for the money. It's not that much taller than my old one and fits easily into my cabinet shelf. My plastic one was getting ratty. This looks sharp, holds a whole 5 lb bag of potatoes, and is easy to clean afterwards. I needed something sturdy to stand up to pasta, potatoes, etc.
I was very pleased with it, because it looks very durable. This was bought as a gift, so I don't know yet about it's performance.
I've had this one for a couple months and I find it easy to use and it is very sturdy. I make pasta about once a week, and the plastic one I had previously wasn't working for me. The pasta clung to the plastic and got caught in the holes. I'm happy with the quality of this colander.
I love it, it's a great big size that can handle a lot of pasta, and the inside is polished so highly that it actually creates holographs - kind of neat :) When not in use, I use it to store fruit and things on my counter, it looks great and is functional.
