Oneida Colonial Boston 45-Piece Set, Service for 8

Reflecting Boston's long heritage of silversmithing, this pattern is similar to those sturdy and simple pewter utensils used by early American colonists. Typical of classic clean-lined design it would work just as well with modern surroundings.

I need more silverware. Make sure you clean the knives - during the manufacturing process there is some black stuff in the creavices of the teeth. Pattern is a little different from the one I bought years ago - mainly the knives - but not that noticable. Got tired of washing them everyday when all of them got dirty.

I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE THESE ON AMAZON.I HAD THIS SET YEARS AGO AND SO MANY PIECES DISAPPEARED.NOW MY SET IS MORE THAN COMPLETE AND AT A GREAT PRICE.

BUYER BEWARE. Low end stainless steel cookware, mixing bowls, stockpots and accessories are usually 18/0, which are usually not highly polished, and could be subject to some rust spotting. Stainless steel used in cookware is normally 18% chromium and 8% to 10% nickel. The numbers 18/0 and 18/8 refer to the percentage of content of chromium and nickel. To be classified as stainless steel, the metal must contain at least 11% chromium (no nickel required). These are being offered at a low price because they are actually 18/0 stainless steel, not 18/8 as Amazon specs incorrectly state.

I've had this flatware for over a year now and they still look excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone who isn't lazy and willing to take care of them. You will have better end results if you hand dry them. You can use them in the dishwasher however it's best if you hand wash them and wash any food off of them if you aren't going to wash them right away.
