It leaks a drop every few minutes out of the valve. This is a very artistic design and does invite some comments. But, it is not a stopper. Also, be advised that you only get one item, not four as the picture shows. Even though it's nice, I probably won't be getting any more of them. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed in that, but other here have made that observation as well. It pours well and is functional.
Overall, I found the Metrokane Wine Pourer with Stopper a better value. also, I found that it leaks wehn the bottle is laid on it side. As others noted, the ad for this is misleading.
I wouldn't buy them again. These stoppers don't keep your wine fresh, but they make pouring easier.
It sure beats trying to get the cork back in the bottle. I would recommend it to everyone. We like this wine pourer/stopper although it makes the wine bottle a little too tall for our fridge.
