Oxo Good Grips Cherry Pitter

With the OXO Good Grips Cherry Pitter, baking cherry pies, canning cherries and making homemade preserves are no longer the pits. The Cherry Pitter features a removable splatter shield that directs juices downward and prevents them from soiling your work area. When not in use, the splatter shield fits inside the front chamber and a lock holds the Cherry Pitter closed for convenient storage. Sturdy, die-cast zinc construction removes pits with ease, and soft, comfortable non-slip handles absorb pressure while you squeeze. The cherry holder is extra large to accommodate Bing and Rainier cherries and has a recessed cup to securely hold smaller varieties when pitting. Also try the Cherry Pitter to prepare fresh cherries for small children. The Cherry Pitter should be placed in the dishwasher in its unlocked position.

Oxo Good Grips Cherry Pitter Reviews

My husband asked for this for Christmas and I thought he was nuts - just figured it was another silly kitchen item that wouldn't work. We'll definitely be eating more cherries this summer. Very easy to use and the pits come out very cleanly. The product works great. I was wrong.

Works very well for cherries and olives. Easy to clean. Seems very durable. Works best with medium and larger olives. Easy on hands. Very quick and doesn't tear the fruit unless soft.

This Pitter made everything so much easier. I love kalamata olives, and I think they're best when you buy them un-pitted. While I haven't used this on cherries yet, I think this is an indispensable tool for anyone who needs to deal with un-pitted olives. While the splash guard is pretty nice, I just pit them directly into my plastic trash/grocery bag. I use this product just about every other day to add olives to my salads. It's comfortable and works extremely well- about 8 out of 10 olives pit perfectly, the others you have to gently pull out of the hole, and the seed catches and falls down. But I didn't like putting them in salads because I would either have to butcher them with a knife or catch them in the salad and spit out the seeds.

It gets the job done without being messy. Soft grip easy to handle. This is a very handy tool to have.
