Removing corn kernels from cobs has never been easier. The OXO Good Grips Corn Stripper features a container that catches the kernels as they are stripped from the cob. Simply push the Corn Stripper down the length of the cob and the kernels collect in a convenient ½-cup capacity container. Turn the cob and continue stripping until all kernels are removed. Kernels can be poured out of the top hole of the container into a bowl or onto a plate. The soft, non-slip grips cushion your hand during use and the stainless steel blade will not rust or dull. The Corn Stripper comes apart for easy cleaning and all parts are dishwasher safe. Soft, non-slip grips Dishwasher safe

Oxo Good Grips Corn Stripper Reviews

You still have to be careful as you can cut yourself if you use it in the wrong direction, but its pretty fool proof and holds 1/2 cup or so of corn at a time. I had gone to Williams Sonoma to get their corn stripper only to find they were out and they suggested this one to me and its even better than the WS one I was going to get. Great item. With this thing, I make fresh sauteed corn all the time. The best part is, you can strip several corn rows at a time and go back over it if you don't get it all. I love any gadget that makes my cooking a little easier. I make a recipe that requires fresh corn on the cob and you have to strip it from the cob- I can't tell you how quick and handy this item makes that.

I'm glad I read other people's comments about how sharp the blades are. We parboil the corn on the cob before we strip it to freeze, and the half-cooked kernels practically leapt off the cobs. This made this year's supply go so fast it was amazing. We have access to a wonderful farmstand next to a cornfield, so we get absolutely fresh corn in season, and always stock up the freezer. I had no problems at all, but it pays to be careful taking it apart when you are first using it - I can see how carelessness could be painful.

Easy to use, easy to clean up.my kind of tool. Worth every penny.at least 5 times faster than a knife.and at least 5 times easier.

Just keep those fingers out of the way. It was a quick and neat way to get corn off the cob and into freezer bags so we can enjoy it this winter. Other than a minor nick to a finger that got in the way, this tool did a wonderful job, and I would recommend it. The Oxo corn stripper made short work of my leftover grilled corn-on-the-cob.
