Oxo Good Grips Food Scale with Pull-Out Display
OXO's user-friendly food scale with pull-out display is perfect for weighing all ingredients. Weigh items directly on the platform, on a plate or in a bowl, and pull the display away from the base to prevent shadowing from large plates and bowls. Accurately measure ingredients when cooking and baking and stick to a diet by weighing portions. An optional backlight makes the display easier to read and a weight indicator shows the capacity left on the Scale before maximum capacity is reached. Press the zero button to offset the weight of a container or to set the weight back to zero so you can add additional ingredients. The display features large, easy-to-read numbers which measure in 1/8-oz (imperial) and 1-g (metric) increments. The stainless steel platform can be removed for cleaning but no parts are dishwasher safe. The scale has an 11-lb capacity and 4 AAA batteries are included. Well-priced, and easy to store. This is a small easy to use scale for the kitchen.
Also, the conversion from metric to pounds is really helpful for conversion of recipes. This compact scale is wonderful, not only does the display pull out from under larger containers but the zeroing out feature is really slick.
Extremely easy to use, you don't even need to read the instructions. You will not be disappointed. The face pull out option and back light are great features. Cooks Illustrated did a fine job rating this one.
Has lbs. Great scale. I'm very please with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone needing a simple to use, straight forward, no nonsense, small scale. Can weigh up to 11 pounds. and grams with a tare system. Has a "pull out" display if weighing a larger item. Easy to store, clean, use.
Missing 1 star purely due to the price. An accurate, compact set of scales that's easy to use, and functions well.
