Oxo Good Grips Kitchen and Herb Scissors Reviews
I love these shears. Anyone looking for a good pair of shears in the kitchen I recommend theses. I'm curious to see how much longer there going to stay so sharp. I've been having mine for over a year now and there still very sharp. I think it's wonderful how you can take them apart to clean them.
My shop shears became kitchen shears and get used by all. I had a pair in the shop and my wife's friend said they were the best she had used, even for the kitchen. The leverage with the comfortable handles enables heavy duty cutting and the blades can take it without gouging. These shears cut anything, from plastic to chicken bones.
I had these scissors for just under two years (received them as a wedding gift in June 2005). My grandmother has had the same kitchen scissors for nearly 50 years. I actually kept the scissors around for another few weeks as the "scissor part" still worked, but then the other handle cracked and the plastic fell off. Eventually the plastic on the handles cracked, while I was cutting some chives. The process of the plastic cracking pinched and cut my skin. The started to rust in under a year, and then the handles started slipping.
