I figured I would let someone else do the experimenting on them. I have had them about a month and they are performing very well. I saw them as a best buy on ConsumerReports.com. I am not be a knife snob, but these knives are great so far.
They are good so far, no complaints. We have not been disappointed. These knives were rated a consumer reports best buy, which is why we got them.
Bought these for my parents last Christmas and they love them. We all love OXO, their products are great, affordable and reliable. But OXO was really great and shipped her out a new knife right away. My mom said the only problem she ran into was when she tried to cut a frozen pizza, a knife broke. Go figure. Almost a year later they are still sharp and work great.
Hands down, the OXO is the best set of kitchen knives I have ever owned. That should say it all. After getting the OXO set, I have since retired my Japanese knives. The OXO set are just as good as my Japanese knives, but they do not require any maintenance other than the occasional sharpening. I live in Japan, and own a set of Japanese knives, which are very high maintenance.
You will not be dissapointed. JUST GO BUY A SET. Gotta be the BEST $80 set of knives I have ever seen or used.
