Oxo Good Grips Professional 6-1/2-Inch Santoku Knife Reviews

In fact the combination of the knife and the knife sharpener mentioned makes Chef Tony's TV Miracle blades look blunt and painful to use. I like this knife so much I am buying 2 more next week. This knife is one of the best I have owned, especially when paired with a great knife sharpener like the Wusthof 2-stage knife sharpener.

Have to sharpen after each use. Feels good in hand. I use every day. Great that it came as a 4 for 3 offer. I like this size santoku from Oxo. More control. (I like a sharp blade).

I bought it after using the 4" for over a year and wanted a good, larger-sized knife. Can't complain. Would recommend if you like santokus. Got both Oxo peelers and the liquid dishwashing brush as the 4th item. Feels better even on small things like chopping garlic than the 4" santoku. It works well.

I have big hands and the grips are comfortable. the rubber handle may someday cause a food/water trap if washed in the dishwasher though hasn't yet, it is slightly stretchy. I ordered this and the 6" chef as as well as 5 other brands, I thought I might try them and buy the set. I've been using the dishwasher with electrasol all in 1 gel packs, no rust or stains using the heated dry cycle.

my wifes hands are medium and she liked them as well. this and the chef needed a touch up on the sharpener to get them to a fine edge, but it didn't take much and made a world of difference, the edge they come with is OK, but thats probably as much to do with shipping as not. I would say for the money your spending, it'd be hard to beat. They are Good, solid, cast or forged, not likely stamped as the tang/shoulder/blade are one piece around 1/2" thick at its thickest part.

She likes the heavy blade and the handle is comfortable in her hand. This is my wife's, chief cook, favorite knife.
