Oxo Good Grips Wooden Turner

The large handle feels comfortable in your hand as you flip and push food around. Wood is gentle on ceramics, non-stick cookware and glass. It is also warmly beautiful and naturally heat resistant.

Despite all the bright-colored, high-tech silicone kitchen utensils out these days, there?s nothing quite like the good old-fashioned feel of wood for cooking needs. Crafted from solid beech wood, this 14-inch turner is long enough to keep hands away from oil or heat, making it ideal for flipping flapjacks or keeping potstickers from sticking. While the gently curved head thins to a straight edge, the give of wood means the edge is safe for nonstick cookware. A natural oil finish protects the wooden turner and won?t contaminate food.

True to OXO?s creed of designing products that are easy to use for the widest range of cooks, the handle, which is flat on top and sensuously curved underneath, comfortably fits the hand. A hole in the end allows the turner to hang where it?s most needed. Set in a crock, the turner forms a handsome bouquet with OXO?s other wooden utensils, such as mixing spoons, slotted spoons, and a spaghetti server. Wooden utensils are best washed by hand. OXO backs all its products with a satisfaction warranty, and will replace or refund any returned item. --Ann Bieri

Oxo Good Grips Wooden Turner Reviews

I use this spoon to cook everything, from chopping up meat to flipping eggs, it is a wooden spoon, knife, and spatula in one. Get rid of your old wooden spoons, the flat edge is way more useful than the rounded.

The turner is exactly what I want, which I have been using for a month.

Oxo wooden turner is the best. I've even put mine in the dishwasher on numerous occasions and it still looks great. Great for saving non-stick cookware from scratches. Utensil is large, handle is thick and sturdy, wood is smooth. I've used it almost daily for 3 years and it's still holding up to the biggest tasks.

I trusted OXO as a brand, but found this turner to be extremely heavy and non-ergonomic. Better to buy a bamboo turner for $1 at a Chinese supermarket - that lasts, is lightweight, and easy to wash. Do not be attracted to this cheap price. I think OXO should stick to extrusion plastic goods and stay away from wood products. Plus it cracked in less than one month and it's not like I cook that often.

What a great price for such quality. I use this one a lot, espeically when I'm carmalizing tomatoe paste for my spaghettie sauce. Thanks for making it available on Amazon. Great quality and matches the most expensive wooden spoons I've seen selling on the net.
