Polder 6631-75 18/8 Stainless Steel Sink Strainer Reviews

This item is a bit flimsy for a Polder product but it does the job.

Yesterday I washed spinach leaves, and today I washed rices, both of small pieces are still on the strainer espeically behind the stainless egde. Enlarge the picture of this item and you will see the stainless around the edge of strainer. I hate this item. If this product doesn't have stainless edge, I might recommend this item.

I would recommend to use the normal plastic or silicon strainer. However, the stainless steel mesh is very very very difficult to clean and the dirts won't come off that easily. I have to use more water than usual item. The dirts always HIDE behind the 2 cm stainless edge.

It also keeps whatever he's straining out of the liquid in the sink, another of my concerns. I'll get another one for the younger boy when it's time. I bought this Polder 6631-75 18/8 Stainless Steel Sink Strainer for my college age grandson and it appears to be surviving his less than tender care.

I just made sure I bought some other needed items that weren't part of the promo. Way to go Amazon. The bonus is that because it hangs from your sink, we now have extra space to put glasses to dry w/o dripping water onto countertops. We bought this Feb.

It's functional, attractive (if you care), and makes a great addition to any kitchen. This stainless steel strainer expands to hang from a tradtional dual split kitchen sink (for lack of a better description). These 4-for-3 deals are AWESOME, especially when combined w/ FREE S&H and no sales tax. then it's a way better deal online. By doing so, I got one $18 item free, instead of two $3.99 items free. 2008 for $16 as part of the buy 3, get 1 free promo.

You can get one for roughly the same price at Kohl's (maybe less, if on sale), however if you buy it w/ the Amazon promo. Of course, just make sure both shipments are more than $25 for free S&H. See my ordering tip below:. Ordering tip: if you're going to buy a bunch of items, split them in separate orders and put all the lower priced items together so you can get (at least) one of the more expensive items for free. Our intent was to replace our plastic collander with stainless steel (getting rid of all plastics in the house due to "toxins"- just playing it safe).

This strainer is super versatile. Fabulous, yet so simple. Buying a few more to give to loved ones who can use them. Great for washing veggies, straining noodles, and even doubles as an extra drying rack when you run out of room. Don't know how I got by without it.
