Precise Heat 3-1/2-Quart Surgical Stainless-Steel Oil Core Skillet Reviews

This skillet is very heavy and very large. This is NOT a no-stick surface, you will need some oil or some PAM to keep from making a scorched mess. You will probably want a steel spatula as this thing will melt one made out of plastic.

For people who are used to your average teflon-coated electric skillet, beware. It is a little slow to warm up, so you need to give it a minute before you atart cooking or it will continue to heat up while you are cooking and it will burn your food. On the positive side, it seems like it will last forever. It cleans marginally well in a dishwasher.

You may need to scrape it with a scrubbing pad to get it totally clean (althoug because it's stainless steel you can scrape it with a scouring pad and it will look BRAND NEW). This skillet gets very hot.

5 star, would highly recommend. This is a very beautiful stainless steel skillet, very heavy, cooks evenly and has exceeded my expectations. I especially like the fact that it does not have a teflon coating, another quality hard to find in an electric skillet. I had been looking for an electric skillet and realized they are not easy to find anymore.

I love the fact that it does not have any non stick teflon in it which is why I chose this product. I would highly recommend it on the fact of NO TEFLON. The only 2 downfalls with it are it is very heavy ( I guess that is understandable since it has oil in the bottom) and it does not get hot enough to fry potatoes quickly and crisply. I just may need a little more getting used to it. It also cooks very even and is a nice depth to make a meal in.

He had tired of continually having to replace non-stick skillets and specifically requested a stainless steel version. I bought it in the $70 range. Have no idea why there is this erratic pricing but, if you ever see it at a good, LOW price, snatch it up. he is delighted with it.

Got this skillet for my husband who is the head chef in our house. One strange thing, however the pricing on this is bizarrely erratic. And, since I check it occasionally, have seen it in the $140 range, at $115, etc. It's great. now I see it listed over $189.

After doing some research, I settled on this model.

I just got it and have used it everyday since then. I enjoy the convenience of using this to reheat foods, put on low setting for a few minutes no need to have to watch the pan. It is also a fine vegetable steamer. This Skillet is really practical, not only does it maintain and even heat distribution, it can get really hot which is great for searing meats.
