Screwpull Elegance Lever Model Corkscrew Gift Set Reviews
Getting the cork off of the corkscrew is the feature I like the best. Well constructed and easy to use, great value.
this really is a cool screwpull eventough it is a bit too heavy and a little too expensive.
The foil opener, which stores in the stand, is not the best I've ever used. The stand is nice and makes it easy to store. The opener works with little force, so just about anyone can use it.
I've been using this model for a little over a year and it is by far the sturdiest and easiest of the lever wine openers I've tried. Still, I recommend you understand the instructions before trying to use any lever wine opener. No problems with wax corks either. Cheaper models tend to break, especially when used incorrectly but this one can take a licking and keep on pulling.
They got the job done, but required a lot of twisting/pulling and often deposited bits of cork in the wine. No more twisting/turning. However, I called the company and received a metal stopper a few days later. After all, the money I saved by using the cheap corkscrew, could be used to buy more wine.
Previously, I had only used the standard manual inexpensive type corkscrew that I received in giftbags at conventions. Finally, I decided to get it , and I'm glad I did. Although the item description indicated that the box included a metal stopper, it did not. I highly recommend this item. Bottles are opened quickly and no more bits of cork.
I debated purchasing this item for a long time because I was put off by the expense.
