I purchased this 8 quart T-Fal stock pot for my canning needs. I think it is a respectably heavy pot, and I love the see-through vented glass lid and the silicone handles. I do not agree with the 2 star rating as being lightweight. I have only used it for this one season, so I do not know how it will hold up in the long run, but so far I am very satisfied with its performance. I use it for salsa, jelly, etc.
and this stock pot is the ideal size for such endeavors. The individual who received it has used it several times and is very satisfied. They prepare lots of soups, etc. I purchased this product for a gift.
French made T-Fal cookware impressed me so much that I'd buy nothing but T-Fal. Oh T-Fal, what have you done. If you value quality cookware, this ain't it. Made in China, light metal, cheap construction. This has to be fake because it's nothing like the T-Fal set my sister bought in Greece that's still in excellent shape today after heavy usage. What the F happened.
